FC Berea's Rodion Cămătaru got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leron Sale charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leron Sale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodion Cămătaru in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berea Luca in the 23rd minute of play forced Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Basarab Arotăriței shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
