Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ingmar Håkansson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ingmar Håkansson came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. If Emil Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ingmar Håkansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. When Felix Montenegro got free in front of the goal in the 19th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ingmar Håkansson was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ingmar Håkansson. Vätö's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. In the 30th minute of the match, Emil Holmberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Julio Vera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 35th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ingmar Håkansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Vätö's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Ingmar Håkansson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vätö's Ingmar Håkansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ingmar Håkansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Söderman in the 43rd minute of play. Ingmar Håkansson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stig-Åke Söderman to strike the kick off in the second half. Henry Hermansson's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ingmar Håkansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
