Torrey Molloy kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torrey Molloy in the 15th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torrey Molloy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thorvald Egfjord in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Brujas KV's Inge Marin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 25th minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Rios, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torrey Molloy got free with Dante Lacasa in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Roso in the 52nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Rios in the 53rd minute of the match. After 55 minutes of play, Brujas KV's David Rios made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dante Lacasa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inge Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goalkeeper Inge Marin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Brujas KV's David Rios. But to his dismay, David Rios quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Brujas KV made a substitution. Octavio Rosio replaced David Rios. Brujas KV's Inge Marin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Brujas KV from getting a goal against them. 75 minutes into the match, Brujas KV's goalkeeper Inge Marin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. In the 77th minute, Luca Rouco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joel Gaona kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Óli Manfredi came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavio Rosio might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Octavio Rosio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 94th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Brujas KV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Luca Rouco managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Brujas KV had won after a very even match.
