Sebastian Villa ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Göteborg's Lautaro Navarro threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benjamin Velasco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Benjamin Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Hellsing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. 谢冰适 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Villa in the 30th minute of play. Göteborg's 谢冰适 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 36th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Oscar Hellsing took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Lautaro Navarro to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Göteborg booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Navarro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oscar Hellsing struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Lautaro Navarro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Göteborg. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Hellsing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 谢冰适 made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Sebastian Villa sent off a good shot on target. Ulf Nyqvist made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Kalle Stål immediately put the ball in play. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, 谢冰适 successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Göteborg's 谢冰适 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Göteborg from getting a goal against them. Kalle Stål scored 5-0 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Navarro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Göteborg could leave the field as winners, despite Honduras having more of the ball for most of the match.
