A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Xavier Zoido hit a great ball. After 8 minutes, Bruno Lop mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sarandí Fútbol Club and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bruno Lop kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. A collision led to Sarandí Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Benjamin Berbiz hit a great ball. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rene Estevon having to interfere. Raimundo Nardo made in the 14th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Albino Santo. Albino Santo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Jacobo Nores skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rene Estevon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Pardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 17th minute of play forced Sarandí Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Rene Estevon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 minutes, Hector Covarrubias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the Sarandí Fútbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee ignored Sarandí Fútbol Club's protests and gave Aurelio Urti a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sarandí Fútbol Club's Aurelio Urti got a free kick in the 19th minute. A collision led to Sarandí Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Aurelio Urti hit a great ball. Rene Estevon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Pardo in the 29th minute of play forced Sarandí Fútbol Club's goalkeeper Rene Estevon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Paraguay's zone, Benjamin Berbiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal and Benjamin Berbiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from Santos Urbes in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Paraguay's Iker Tafalla. When Raimundo Nardo fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarandí Fútbol Club's protests and gave Raimundo Nardo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Paraguay booed when Sarandí Fútbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Nardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Pardo to strike the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Raimundo Nardo in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Paraguay's Xavier Zoido. 57 minutes into the game, Jaime Pardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rene Estevon. Jaime Pardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. 61 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Belarmo came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rene Estevon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Alan Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 70 minutes, Evaristo Nardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarandí Fútbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Nardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 78th minute Jaime Pardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Estevon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Americo Haitz during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sarandí Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Americo Haitz hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Paraguay's Xavier Zoido got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Belarmo in the 95th minute of play. After 97 minutes Paraguay's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Evaristo Nardo who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Sarandí Fútbol Club's Evaristo Nardo to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacobo Nores despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Paraguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sarandí Fútbol Club.
