Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Axel Tasis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Aurelio Urti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Albino Santo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 18th minute Albino Santo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sarandí Fútbol Club booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albino Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Sarandí Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Evaristo Nardo hit a great ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Santo in the 29th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. In the 38th minute Lautaro Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rene Estevon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Belarmo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Federico Belarmo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarandí Fútbol Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Belarmo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Costa Rica's Benito Sanz got control of the ball when Federico Belarmo tried to sneak it across the goal line.

In the 52nd minute, Bruno Lop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Berbiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Belarmo in the 62nd minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Sarandí Fútbol Club's Federico Belarmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rene Estevon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aaron Alcocer went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Sarandí Fútbol Club's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Evaristo Nardo in the 84th minute. Evaristo Nardo made a great header on Sarandí Fútbol Club's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 91 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. In the 92nd minute Federico Belarmo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
