Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Demetrio Domenghini during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 played minutes Vlashers got a freekick which was hit by Demetrio Domenghini. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Marius Levința put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. 12 minutes into the game, Dinu Moșanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vlashers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costa Rica the free kick. After 12 played minutes Vlashers got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Moșanu. 17 minutes into the game, Ernest Mareș cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 20th minute Marius Levința shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 25 minutes, Gigel Ghișerel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vlashers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Ghișerel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Levința in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pauli Palander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernest Mareș blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. After 32 minutes of play, Vlashers's Marius Levința made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nechifor Cosor scored 0-5 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38thth minute of the game Marius Levința who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernest Mareș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marius Levința in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marius Levința was the one to do the kick off. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Ernest Mareș scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nechifor Cosor got free with Benito Sanz in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Vlashers's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marius Levința, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Mareș in the 61st minute of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ernest Mareș showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 68 minute of play. Lautaro Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 72 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nechifor Cosor. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Nechifor Cosor took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. In the 77th minute, Nechifor Cosor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vlashers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Levința in the 82nd minute of play. Marius Levința received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benito Sanz came out and tried to block the shot, but Marius Levința slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 84th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. If Gigel Ghișerel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Marius Levința shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vlashers played a much better game than Costa Rica and deserved their victory. The Costa Rica players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
