With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jax Williamson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute, Robinho Urbano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jax Williamson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henry Costa in the 41st minute of play. Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe Stars from getting a goal against them. Jax Williamson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Costa in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Rohan Watson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Jax Williamson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Canada's Theo Burton was substituted for Rohan Watson. Thomás Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Edwards, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Mohamed Basso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jax Williamson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Capibaribe Stars's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jan Dixon was slow to take the kick. During this time Canada's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Carter George heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carter George got free with Thomás Toscano in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Canada made a substitution. Prince Anderson replaced Carter George. In the 79th match minute, Capibaribe Stars was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarl Rossebø to maneuver through the defense. A beautiful save bye Canada's goalie prevented a goal. Canada played a much better game than Capibaribe Stars and deserved their victory. The Capibaribe Stars players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
