The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alexander Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Alexander Carballo hit a great ball. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anjo Gafus having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 16th minute of play forced Fc Schönhagen 1's goalkeeper Anjo Gafus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Abel Carballo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anjo Gafus skillfully saved the ball. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Erik Piller got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 1-0. 27 minutes into the game, Conni Viehl lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Benito Sanz. In the 30th minute, Fc Schönhagen 1's Erik Piller ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Conni Viehl succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 32nd playminute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Conni Viehl got free with Benito Sanz in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Bonito Teufer sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Piller in the 40th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blaise Immel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Piller in the 44th minute of play. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. Conni Viehl scored 5-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bonito Teufer went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Aaron Alcocer hit a great ball. In the 61st minute of the match Alan Moruga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anjo Gafus showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bonito Teufer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 minutes of play, Fc Schönhagen 1's Erik Piller made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Rubio during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conni Viehl in the 81st minute of the match. In the 83rd minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Piller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute Bonito Teufer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Conni Viehl kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Fc Schönhagen 1 were the better team. Fc Schönhagen 1's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
