But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sabit Piruz's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dimitris Vasilakos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Trifillia.FC's Vidal Samano. But to his dismay, Vidal Samano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Vidal Samano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 71st minute of play forced Trifillia.FC's goalkeeper Dimitris Vasilakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trifillia.FC's Dimitris Vasilakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 79th minute of play forced Trifillia.FC's goalkeeper Dimitris Vasilakos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vidal Samano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 85th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense.
