In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

Monty Rogers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 俞平亦 having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cassius Byrne in the 59th minute of play forced ◇Mz.梦◆糖球's goalkeeper 俞平亦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ◇Mz.梦◆糖球's 俞平亦 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalid Parry in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, 袁正枫 was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ◇Mz.梦◆糖球's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave USA the free kick. The USA manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing ◇Mz.梦◆糖球 to win.
