Pekárová rodinka were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ralondo Ansola took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Pereira in the 10th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. 苏弘志 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nebojša Bombis got free with Benito Sanz in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Pekárová rodinka's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rafael Pereira, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nebojša Bombis couldn't finish the play. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Nebojša Bombis sent off a good shot on target. After 37 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ralondo Ansola who took care of the corner kick. In the 40th minute, Nebojša Bombis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Rafael Pereira sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Pereira came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Pekárová rodinka's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Sylwester Pieprz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sylwester Pieprz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rafael Pereira made a kick off. 苏弘志 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 苏弘志, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 56th minute. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sylwester Pieprz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Rafael Pereira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Pekárová rodinka's Van Basten was substituted for Ralondo Ansola. The audience was convinced that Václav Křivan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 76th minute, Mathias Souto made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Pekárová rodinka's Mathias Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 苏弘志 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sylwester Pieprz came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig. But to his dismay, Lautaro Puig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pekárová rodinka fully deserved thier win.
