Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Birger Påk having to make a save. Attilio Pezzella kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Birger Påk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Birger Påk having to interfere. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Stream Sponsoren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lex Immers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Stream Sponsoren's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Birger Påk came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stream Sponsoren's goalkeeper Birger Påk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Aktan Sara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. In the 34th minute, Aktan Sara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After taking down the ball on Stream Sponsoren's corner Tomas Vacker fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Stream Sponsoren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Birger Påk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aktan Sara in the 52nd minute of play. With his leg Birger Påk managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Birger Påk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Aktan Sara put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. 68 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Aktan Sara came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute of the match Stream Sponsoren got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rasmus Ljungberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 70 played minutes Stream Sponsoren got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Pezzella. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Birger Påk made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 74th minute of play forced Stream Sponsoren's goalkeeper Birger Påk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aktan Sara, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Aktan Sara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Stream Sponsoren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lex Immers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Birger Påk. Birger Påk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Stream Sponsoren.
