No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselm Hayer in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, FC Schonebeck's goalkeeper Lance Malliouris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. After 91 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lance Malliouris came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
