Marco Day was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Romário Custódio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. In the 13th minute Cassius Byrne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Orange saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gianluigi Orange showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cassius Byrne, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. With a little luck, USA's Marco Day got control of the ball when Romário Custódio tried to sneak it across the goal line. USA's Marco Day played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Massa in the 25th minute of play. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romário Custódio in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Custódio in the 30th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romário Custódio came free with the goalkeeper in the 31st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marco Day could save by the left post. In the 32nd match minute, USA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koby Fletcher to maneuver through the defense. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norbert Kosowski in the 32nd minute. Marco Day was a little too slow when Norbert Kosowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. The supporters of USA booed when Coice de Mula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norbert Kosowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Coice de Mula's attentive Alin Sima managed to snatch the ball when Diego Bradley made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Bradley during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, USA's Diego Bradley got a free kick in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off. If Monty Rogers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gianluigi Orange made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 70th minute of play. USA made a substitution. Khalid Parry replaced Monty Rogers. Coice de Mula made a substitution. Elano Salgado replaced Per-Oskar Kihlberg. USA made a substitution. Sam Campbell replaced Cassius Byrne. Coice de Mula's Franklin Moraes was substituted for Romário Custódio. In a very dangerous position, a player in USA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Marco Day had in the 78thth minute some difficulties stopping Norbert Kosowski's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 79th minute Téo Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marco Baker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gianluigi Orange having to interfere. With a little luck, Coice de Mula's Gianluigi Orange got control of the ball when Marco Baker tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, USA's Gianluigi Orange threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Khalid Parry, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 89th minute Sam Campbell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gianluigi Orange saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Coice de Mula's Franklin Moraes in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye USA's goalie prevented a goal. 92 minutes into the match, Coice de Mula's goalkeeper Gianluigi Orange had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sam Campbell. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khalid Parry in the 94th minute of play forced Coice de Mula's goalkeeper Gianluigi Orange to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franklin Moraes's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Gianluigi Orange made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam Campbell in the 97th minute. In the last second Gianluigi Orange throw himself and got hold of the ball when Sam Campbell in the 97thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. USA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Coice de Mula had won, even though USA had held more of the ball.
