The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-1 became the score in the 16th minute when Ntinos Kyzeridis elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Markos Sotiriadis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaggelis Salonikis kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, a hard, long distance shot from Axel Tasis hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. In the 26th minute Nikos Markopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute Aris Kravaris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nikos Markopoulos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play.
