The referee gave Venezuela a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tomas Illescas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Algarrobo's Manu Abbott. 0-3. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manu Abbott read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After a long run with the ball, Guillermo Mariano did a trick in the 87th minute in front of Algarrobo's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 0-6. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Algarrobo the free kick. After 97 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. Venezuela's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
