Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrik Marton got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st match minute, Rapid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferenc Kásás to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Patrik Marton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrik Marton kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antal Pádár having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Antal Pádár. Rapid's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 42nd minute, Álmos Csáki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Álmos Csáki came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Álmos Csáki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rapid's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Krisztián Sinkó in the 54th minute. After taking down the ball on Rapid's corner Krisztián Sinkó fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. Rapid were furious when Krisztián Sinkó was red carded, 63 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Rapid getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Krisztián Sinkó hit a great ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Pál Sugár managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pál Sugár was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the game, Rapid's Patrik Marton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Alex Chicote's late challenge caught a Rapid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferenc Kásás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rapid walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
