The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Manu Abbott in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Algarrobo's Manu Abbott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Algarrobo from getting a goal against them. Val Badal's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Val Badal helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Algarrobo's Val Badal got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Joel Gaona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manu Abbott was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 17 minutes into the match, Algarrobo's goalkeeper Manu Abbott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. Algarrobo's Manu Abbott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 18th minute of play. Lorenzo Cazalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manu Abbott having to interfere. Manu Abbott was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manu Abbott was a little too slow when Alberto Tafalla got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 4-0. In the 30th minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manu Abbott. Manu Abbott yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. In the 36th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manu Abbott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 38th minute of play forced Algarrobo's goalkeeper Manu Abbott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Algarrobo's Manu Abbott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Algarrobo from getting a goal against them. Manu Abbott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 44th minute of play. Manu Abbott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Gaona in the 45th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. In the 56th minute, Luca Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Manu Abbott. Algarrobo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. 62 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Algarrobo's Manu Abbott. Manu Abbott was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute, Emmanuel Aguilera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manu Abbott came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Joel Gaona. But to his dismay, Joel Gaona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. 71 minutes into the match, Algarrobo's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Manu Abbott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Algarrobo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 14-0. 93 minutes into the game, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manu Abbott made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 16-0. Manu Abbott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 96th minute of play. In the 98th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manu Abbott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mexico had played much better football throughout.
