An unexpectedly hard shot by Ismael Cordaro in the 38th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Cordaro came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herbert Grom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ismael Cordaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Li 李明, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Mexico's 贺悦战 threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luca Zorita, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ismael Cordaro in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 76 minutes of play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 贺悦战 was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute Ismael Cordaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 贺悦战 was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Luca Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luca Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 93 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. In the 94th minute, Herbert Grom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
