Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Jesus Baristo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Gomosao F.C. getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Silvestre Ongile hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the game, Jesus Baristo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gomosao F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 9th minute, when Eliseo Noboa scored to the left of an out of position Petre Stolniceanu, making the score, 1-1. 12 minutes into the game, Abel Carballo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gomosao F.C. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Abel Carballo got a free kick in the 13th minute. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Gomosao F.C.'s Aquilino Nuxila. But to his dismay, Aquilino Nuxila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alexander Carballo got a free kick in the 20th minute. Aquilino Nuxila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jesus Baristo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Baristo came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Gomosao F.C.'s zone, Eliseo Noboa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petre Stolniceanu came out of the goal and Eliseo Noboa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Baristo in the 39th minute of the match. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Baristo in the 40th minute of play. Gomosao F.C.'s Petre Stolniceanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Gomosao F.C. from getting a goal against them. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Petre Stolniceanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Gomosao F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Umea didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Aquilino Nuxila took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Gomosao F.C.'s Jesus Baristo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Tasis in the 69th minute of play forced Gomosao F.C.'s goalkeeper Petre Stolniceanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Vicente Dalmai sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. In the 74th minute, Lautaro Puig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Gomosao F.C.'s Jesus Baristo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Jesus Baristo sent off a good shot on target. When Vicente Dalmai came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Gomosao F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Dalmai couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Jesus Baristo came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Puig hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Nuxila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. When the match was over Gomosao F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
