Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Academia de Campeones's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Calvet came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodolfo Calvet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Academia de Campeones's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luca Zorita made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Academia de Campeones's Rodolfo Calvet managed to reach the ball for a save. 27 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Iosif Zmărăndache came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Academia de Campeones's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Rodolfo Calvet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Calvet was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Luca Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luca Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Academia de Campeones's defense didn't have a chance, in the 55th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Rodolfo Calvet, making the score, 1-2. 57 minutes into the match, Academia de Campeones's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Rodolfo Calvet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Calvet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 64th minute. With a little luck, Academia de Campeones's Rodolfo Calvet got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodolfo Calvet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. 93 minutes into the match, Academia de Campeones's Miguel Ángel Gambier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 94 minutes into the game, Joaquin Cefero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia de Campeones's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mexico the free kick. The supporters of Mexico booed when Academia de Campeones was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Cefero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Calvet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 95th minute of the match.
