Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Romulo Lehen sent off a good shot on target. Grêmio Bulls were awarded a corner in the 7th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sebastião Tróia took the corner. In the 8th match minute, Grêmio Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoff Mullen to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Bulls's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Prata came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Grêmio Bulls's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. Felix Montes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wei Shu Gang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Rowen Doherty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After 41st play minutes Romulo Lehen shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Julio Vera and just under the crossbar into goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rowen Doherty in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romulo Lehen to strike the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Tróia couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauro Sena in the 68th minute of the match. Henrique Prata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 69th minute. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedrão Prata's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Pedrão Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Grêmio Bulls support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
