The audience was convinced that Innozenz Wiese's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Salvador Gisbert managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Mirco Heine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of the match. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mirco Heine quite easily take care of the ball. Mirco Heine showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 42nd minute of the match. Innozenz Wiese helped the player get up and apologised. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Innozenz Wiese in the 71st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ansu Fatih went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Ansu Fatih sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mirco Heine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
