Ahmet Hafiz Akıncıbeyoğlu started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Nazım Karahan notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 7 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mühendisbey's Björn Gernberg. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. The long shot by Nazım Karahan in the 13th minute really tested Jonathan Ferrant's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Ahmet Hafiz Akıncıbeyoğlu sent off a good shot on target. Baran Korucu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the game, Erdinç Eryiğit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mühendisbey's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Mühendisbey was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erdinç Eryiğit didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 28th minute. Nazım Karahan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Nazım Karahan slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 32nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Nazım Karahan sent off a good shot on target. After 36 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nazım Karahan who took care of the corner kick. Hasret Acunalp got a throw-in 37 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Mustafa Necati Yürük. In the 40th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. Nazım Karahan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 41 minutes, Joshua Secada mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Mühendisbey players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Björn Gernberg having to make a save. Björn Gernberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 46th minute of play. Camilo Gaos lost his temper 48 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! When the match had been going on for 49 minutes, Mühendisbey's Nazım Karahan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jonathan Ferrant.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Costa to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Mühendisbey's Nazım Karahan. But to his dismay, Nazım Karahan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 58 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hasret Acunalp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Gernberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 4-2 came in the 64th minute when Patricio Costa all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Björn Gernberg. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Ahmet Hafiz Akıncıbeyoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mühendisbey's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahmet Hafiz Akıncıbeyoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Nazım Karahan made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-2. A collision led to Mühendisbey getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Mustafa Necati Yürük hit a great ball. Mühendisbey's Esat Ayvazoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to Mühendisbey's goalie finding himself so far out he could grab the ball Patricio Costa tried to make a shot after getting passed the defense. Björn Gernberg seemed to really have strength and confidence after that save. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute. After 90 minutes, Salvador Gisbert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the Mühendisbey players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Salvador Gisbert hit a great ball. Patricio Costa took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Björn Gernberg. Björn Gernberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-3. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Nazım Karahan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Hafiz Akıncıbeyoğlu in the 99th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mühendisbey had won after a very even match.
