An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Messias in the 77th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Honduras's Luca Espinar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Júlio Pires in the 94 minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, Rockets could leave the field as winners, despite Honduras having more of the ball for most of the match.
