Andrea Guaita kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Arturo Papa charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Papa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jucunditas getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Arturo Papa hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Jucunditas's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arturo Papa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 30 minutes of play, Ecuador's Luis Andino made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmondo Biancone was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edmondo Biancone came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 36 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Papa came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmondo Biancone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute, Jucunditas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the Jucunditas defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmondo Biancone. The Jucunditas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmondo Biancone should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Jucunditas's Emilio Zara got a free kick in the 88th minute. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Biancone having to interfere. When Felice Cancemi fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jucunditas's protests and gave Felice Cancemi a yellow card for diving instead. After 90 played minutes Jucunditas got a freekick which was hit by Felice Cancemi. In the 91st minute of the match Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmondo Biancone showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
