After 33 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Valiente was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guillermo Mariano got a throw-in 38 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tomas Illescas. In the 41st minute, Patricio Costa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nippur de Lagash 2:s goal. In the 79th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Valiente. Nippur de Lagash 2's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Guillermo Mariano made in the 82nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jose Correa. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Daniel Valiente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Daniel Valiente made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Daniel Valiente when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 95 minutes into the game, Braulio Monico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nippur de Lagash 2's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. A collision led to Nippur de Lagash 2 getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Braulio Monico hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Daniel Valiente made a huge save. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Valiente having to interfere. When the match was over Venezuela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nippur de Lagash 2 throughout the match.
