In the 15th minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Leo Iigo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 17 minutes into the game, Udo Nigula recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Udo Nigula showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 24th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Fărcășan to maneuver through the defense. 28 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Iigo came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Leo Iigo took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. In the 36th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Saad to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zhuo Chao Chuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 42 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Udo Nigula sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Noboa. 44 minutes into the match, Zhuo Chao Chuan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 4-0. Zhuo Chao Chuan scored 5-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

53 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Zhuo Chao Chuan came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Caetano Saad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 56 minutes into the game, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Udo Nigula nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. CE LAJEADENSE RS made a substitution. Renato Quadros replaced Udo Nigula. After 65 minutes Costa Rica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emil Fărcășan who took care of the corner kick. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Emil Fărcășan fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 67th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. In the 68th minute Leo Iigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CE LAJEADENSE RS made a substitution. Anísio Koehler replaced Caetano Saad. When Aaron Alcocer fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Aaron Alcocer a yellow card for diving instead. Aaron Alcocer kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Zhuo Chao Chuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 89 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Emil Fărcășan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Costa Rica. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Axel Tasis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhuo Chao Chuan in the 97th minute of the match. There was no doubt that CE LAJEADENSE RS were the better team. CE LAJEADENSE RS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
