The CE LAJEADENSE RS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. But to his dismay, Leo Iigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Caetano Saad hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Iigo in the 32nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhuo Chao Chuan in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Zorita saved El Salvador from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhuo Chao Chuan in the 41st minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Zhuo Chao Chuan came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moises Fernandino stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Anísio Koehler was substituted for Caetano Saad. In the 76th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Ely to maneuver through the defense. Christian Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 77th minute of the match. After 78 minutes of play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Renato Quadros made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! El Salvador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Leo Iigo scored to the left of an out of position Ricardo Zorita, making the score, 1-8. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by El Salvador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emil Fărcășan was slow to take the kick. During this time CE LAJEADENSE RS's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Emil Fărcășan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita did a great save. After 91 played minutes Zhuo Chao Chuan rounded El Salvador's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-9. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Zhuo Chao Chuan. But to his dismay, Zhuo Chao Chuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-10. CE LAJEADENSE RS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
