Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Krisztián Sydbøge prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Honduras's Edmundo Espiga to fire away a dangerous shot which Krisztián Sydbøge despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 16 played minutes Nimród Vére got a freekick which was hit by Róbert Vadas. After 17 minutes, Edmundo Espiga made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Nimród Vére's Krisztián Sydbøge tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Honduras booed when Nimród Vére was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bendegúz Ördög didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Krisztián Sydbøge didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. When Sebastian Villa came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Villa couldn't finish the play. Edmundo Espiga in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Krisztián Sydbøge, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the final whistle sounded Honduras left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nimród Vére.
