Cordeal Titos kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Aloisio Segura yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. A sloppy throw-in by Nahia Babia in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano. In the 42nd minute, Milan Chupao's Unax Verdeja seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Unax Verdeja the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Milan Chupao protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Unax Verdeja had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Milan Chupao! The referee gave Paraguay a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jaime Pardo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Milan Chupao's Aloisio Segura. 2-0. Hector Covarrubias hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
