Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Celso Eiró started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, GD Almargense's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Claudemiro Tristão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luca Rouco hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Claudemiro Tristão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, GD Almargense's Adérito Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 14th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudemiro Tristão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudemiro Tristão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudemiro Tristão came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. But to his dismay, Lautaro Mancebo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 47th match minute, GD Almargense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joško Gvardiol to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Joel Gaona made the kick off in the second half. Mexico's Facundo Cadaval quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Marco Vieira, made in the 54th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Eiró in the 63rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adérito Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GD Almargense made a substitution. Zarco Patrício replaced Adérito Pinheiro. GD Almargense's Alexandre Valadares was substituted for Benedito Rebelo. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Valadares, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Lautaro Mancebo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by GD Almargense's Alexandre Valadares. But to his dismay, Alexandre Valadares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 81 minutes into the match, GD Almargense's goalkeeper Claudemiro Tristão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Tafalla. 82 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Vides came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Valadares in the 90th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mexico players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for GD Almargense.
