Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tomas Illescas got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Petros Kalakos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 10 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Nea Salamis's Petros Kalakos. Petros Kalakos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petros Kalakos. Nea Salamis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petros Kalakos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 18th minute. The Venezuela fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Venezuela's Tomas Illescas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Camilo Gaos hit a great ball. Learkhos Papadelias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Nea Salamis's Petros Kopsas got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nea Salamis's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petros Kopsas in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. After 37 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petros Kalakos was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Illescas during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Tomas Illescas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Learkhos Papadelias tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Venezuela were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Learkhos Papadelias to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Petros Kopsas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Illescas had several of the Nea Salamis's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 56 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Petros Kalakos as he didn't even see the shot coming. Apostolis Batsakis hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Nea Salamis's goalkeeper Petros Kalakos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petros Kalakos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Rigoberto Mina's late challenge caught a Nea Salamis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Mina helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 69th minute. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Kalakos having to interfere. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petros Kalakos having to interfere. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 81st minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Petros Kalakos made a huge save. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 85th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Joshua Secada heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 86th of the match, Joshua Secada tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Petros Kalakos got in the way and made a wonderful save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Petros Kalakos in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Learkhos Papadelias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nea Salamis's supporters rose to their feet, but Learkhos Papadelias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Petros Kalakos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 91st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petros Kalakos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Learkhos Papadelias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Nea Salamis fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Venezuela were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
