In the 22nd match minute, Cuatrodeocho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horea Băieșu to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's David Batuhin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. After 77 played minutes Cuatrodeocho got a freekick which was hit by Andy Entrena. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fulgencio Villalcazar could save by the left post. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute of the match. Fulgencio Villalcazar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 83rd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
