Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Horea Băieșu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 1-0. Fulgencio Villalcazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 11th minute of the match. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Batuhin went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After 17 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fulgencio Villalcazar was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's David Batuhin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horea Băieșu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Villalcazar having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Cuatrodeocho's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Fulgencio Villalcazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gisbert got a throw-in 35 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luis Andino. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, David Batuhin recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. David Batuhin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when David Batuhin sent off a good shot on target. After 45 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sid Wilson who took care of the corner kick. Cuatrodeocho's Sid Wilson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, David Batuhin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and David Batuhin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Batuhin was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that David Batuhin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. 54 minutes into the match, Luis Andino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fulgencio Villalcazar. Cuatrodeocho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luis Andino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. Cuatrodeocho's Fulgencio Villalcazar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Cuatrodeocho from getting a goal against them. Fulgencio Villalcazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes in the game Camilo Gisbert did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Luis Andino. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Batuhin in the 73rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Fulgencio Villalcazar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Cuatrodeocho made a substitution. José Planes replaced Sid Wilson. In the 79th match minute, Cuatrodeocho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco-Antonio Landa to maneuver through the defense. When Cuatrodeocho's David Batuhin in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fulgencio Villalcazar saved Cuatrodeocho from getting behind. Cristian Sancho came free with the goalkeeper in the 87th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fulgencio Villalcazar could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iván Villafane in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Fulgencio Villalcazar made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
