An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 19th minute of play forced Nippur de Lagash 2's goalkeeper Daniel Valiente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Valiente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Daniel Valiente. After a rather tough play, Nippur de Lagash 2's Rogelio Salbatore got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Valiente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Nippur de Lagash 2 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-8.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Nippur de Lagash 2 defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Valiente. The Nippur de Lagash 2 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Valiente should have stopped the shot. Nippur de Lagash 2's Daniel Valiente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 56th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute. After 61 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Valiente was left in no man's land by his defense there! Primitivo Andino made in the 64th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felix Montenegro. Luis Andino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Daniel Valiente came out and tried to block the shot, but Luis Andino slotted it home off the left post making it 0-11 in the 66th minute. Daniel Zoritas short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Daniel Valiente to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Daniel Valiente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-13 was the resulting score. 0-14 became the score in the 79th minute when Daniel Zorita elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Agustín Saelices got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Daniel Valiente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-15. Daniel Valiente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Valiente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-16 was the resulting score. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Nippur de Lagash 2 throughout the match.
