Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Nacho Barbutski started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Loko Plovdiv's Nacho Barbutski got a free kick in the 4th minute. Nacho Barbutski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Ilcho Argirov hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The supporters of Loko Plovdiv booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Vladimir Tomanov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Barbutski in the 26th minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Nacho Barbutski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loko Plovdiv fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Nacho Barbutski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tomas Illescas took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimir Tomanov. Vladimir Tomanov dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Venezuela's Joshua Secada shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 51st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vladimir Tomanov but with some difficulty. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nacho Barbutski in the 52nd minute of play. Vladimir Tomanov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Loko Plovdiv's Dencho Yashev was substituted for Genadi Ahmakov. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Barbutski in the 63rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Nacho Barbutski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Nacho Barbutski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vladimir Tomanov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 76th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Nacho Barbutski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute Nacho Barbutski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacho Barbutski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vladimir Tomanov. Vladimir Tomanov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Venezuela were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Loko Plovdiv's much stronger midfield.
