Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. In the 10th minute Alberto Gisbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinnie Small saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vinnie Small made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 13th minute of play. Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Martyn Lawson in the 15 minute of the game. In the 16th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinnie Small saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Francesco Fabregas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clapham Comets F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. After a rather tough play, Clapham Comets F.C.'s Francesco Fabregas got a free kick in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Mersø came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquin Gayoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Mersø, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 28th minute of play forced Clapham Comets F.C.'s goalkeeper Vinnie Small to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinnie Small made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. Clapham Comets F.C.'s Vinnie Small proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Clapham Comets F.C. from getting a goal against them. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 66th minute, Maximiliano Escribano made a precise shot to the right of Vinnie Small. Clapham Comets F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great ball. Camilo Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vinnie Small. Maximiliano Escribano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. The supporters of Clapham Comets F.C. booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Beldad didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 94th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Franco to maneuver through the defense. Vinnie Small showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 95th minute of the match. Tom Rosický fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere.
