The audience was convinced that Santino Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ruy Montenegro was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Santino Seco came free, but Ruy Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Cezary Bartoszek managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Antonio Indiano in the 55 minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ could leave the field as winners, despite Colombia having more of the ball for most of the match.
