The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Aaron Alcocer a yellow card for diving instead. After 20 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Noboa couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute Axel Tasis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wlodzimierz Cwojdak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Eliseo Noboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 71 played minutes Eliseo Noboa rounded Pogoń1945Staszów's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3.
