Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. Marcus Deacon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnnie Osbourn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Arlindo Trevisan lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 10 minutes into the game, one of Mayo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Marcus Deacon had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Luz Tejedor's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mayo's Marcus Deacon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glyn Smith to maneuver through the defense. Amílton Siqueira made in the 25th minute of the game a quick throw-in and William Symons immediately put the ball in play. William Symons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Rolando Noboa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Deacon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Deacon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julian Murillo scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus Deacon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amílton Siqueira got a throw-in 43 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Johnnie Osbourn. Amílton Siqueira made in the 44th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Johnnie Osbourn. 46 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Deacon. Mayo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Luz Tejedor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Deacon having to interfere. Mayo's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Luz Tejedor 53 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. After 60 minutes Mayo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Marcus Deacon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Milagros Fraga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 64 minute of play. With a little luck, Mayo's Marcus Deacon got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute of the match Peru got a corner. Mayo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Milagros Fraga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcus Deacon quite easily take care of the ball. Mayo's Patrick Robins was substituted for Samuel Farmer. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 75th minute. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Marcus Deacon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience was convinced that Moises Gayoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Deacon was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Marcus Deacon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Moises Gayoso's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Marcus Deacon was a little too slow when Rafael Gallo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 0-5. The Peru players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
