Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel Zorita took the kick off in the first half of the match. Estrela Solitária's Benjamim Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandrinho Hoffmann blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Sandrinho Hoffmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Felix Montes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Benjamim Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 15 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sandrinho Hoffmann in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sandrinho Hoffmann came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Agustín Saelices had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 27 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chicão Amorim who took care of the corner kick. Benjamim Dante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Dante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Primitivo Andino made in the 39th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felix Montenegro immediately put the ball in play. Primitivo Andino's late challenge caught a Estrela Solitária's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Primitivo Andino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd match minute, Estrela Solitária was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Meira to maneuver through the defense. The Estrela Solitária players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

Estrela Solitária made a substitution. Gerd Müller replaced Sandrinho Hoffmann. In the 52nd minute of the match Chicão Amorim sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Julio Vera skillfully saved the ball. After 53 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerd Müller in the 58th minute of play. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Gerd Müller made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerd Müller in the 75th minute of play. Primitivo Andino got his second yellow card in the match during the 77th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerd Müller in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 86th minute, Dudu Meira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamim Dante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Rossi hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Agustín Saelices fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim Dante having to interfere.
