Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Patricio Salamon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Patricio Salamon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Feliks Nieruchliwy hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, Soflov FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Patricio Salamon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliks Nieruchliwy in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Marco Domeka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Soflov FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Domeka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patricio Salamon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patricio Salamon having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Soflov FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Patricio Salamon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Primitivo Andino made in the 34th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felix Montenegro. 39 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Patricio Salamon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patricio Salamon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 46 minutes, Feliks Nieruchliwy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soflov FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliks Nieruchliwy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Feliks Nieruchliwy took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 58th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Soflov FC's Percy Romero got a free kick in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Soflov FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Salamon came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliks Nieruchliwy in the 69th minute of play. After 71 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patricio Salamon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Patricio Salamon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 74th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Feliks Nieruchliwy came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Soflov FC's Patricio Salamon got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Soflov FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cristian Sancho 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. Feliks Nieruchliwy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliks Nieruchliwy in the 94th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
