The supporters of Curacao booed when Kiepscy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wieslaw Klawke didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Stanley Wallace dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eugeniusz Klejnowski, 1-0. 20 minutes into the match, Kiepscy's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Klejnowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stanley Wallace. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Gaszynski in the 24th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Curacao's Stanley Wallace made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugeniusz Klejnowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the game, Lucjan Cichowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Bruno Barrett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juliusz Klewinski in the 35th minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Krzysztof Gaszynski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 played minutes Curacao got a freekick which was hit by Harvey Doyle. In the 48th minute of the match Krzysztof Gaszynski sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Barrett skillfully saved the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Krzysztof Gaszynski made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Troy Kennedy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Klejnowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Krzysztof Gaszynski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Stanley Wallace hit a great ball. In the 58th minute Stanley Wallace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Klejnowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Kiepscy's Lucjan Cichowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Barrett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. In the 67th minute of the match, Juliusz Klewinski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bruno Barrett saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 75 minutes into the match, Curacao's goal looked a bit too open when Krzysztof Gaszynski came free, but Bruno Barrett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Barrett stood somewhat misplaced when Lucjan Cichowski came free in front of goal and shot 4-3 to the left of him in the 78 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Gaszynski in the 82nd minute of play forced Curacao's goalkeeper Bruno Barrett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Kyle Davies shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Klejnowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute Stanley Wallace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugeniusz Klejnowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Barrett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Krzysztof Gaszynski in the 90th minute of play. After some careless play in the Curacao defense, Lucjan Cichowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Barrett. The Curacao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Barrett should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Davies in the 95th minute of play forced Kiepscy's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Klejnowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
