Stockholm IF's Qin Ting Peng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 13th minute of play. Hermengildo Dalmau kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Montenegro in the 18th minute of play forced Stockholm IF's goalkeeper Qin Ting Peng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Holmgren came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Qin Ting Peng having to interfere.
