The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. MUSHIBA FC's Chiquinho do Nascimento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save MUSHIBA FC from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Tomas Berganza put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Chiquinho do Nascimento. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chiquinho do Nascimento prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A sloppy throw-in by Matthew Garrido in the 37th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by MUSHIBA FC's Severino Marquez. Chiquinho do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Berganza, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. MUSHIBA FC's Chiquinho do Nascimento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Cambeiro in the 40th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gil Meira to make the kick off.
