But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. João Vítor de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 9th minute of play forced Diablos FC's goalkeeper João Vítor de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Diablos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but João Vítor de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diablos FC's João Vítor de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Diablos FC's Kaviedes Arrese nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. João Vítor de Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 28th minute of play. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reimundo Casado went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. João Vítor de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Kaviedes Arrese notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 44 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sydney Alcântara was slow to take the kick. During this time Diablos FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Diablos FC's Sydney Alcântara to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kaviedes Arrese who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Diablos FC's goalkeeper João Vítor de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaviedes Arrese, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. João Vítor de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaviedes Arrese in the 84th minute of play. A collision led to Diablos FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Diego Riego hit a great ball. João Vítor de Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score.
