In the 37thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Akira アキラ's Giorgi Mamardashvili was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patricio Costa struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Giorgi Mamardashvili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela.

The wind increased when Liu Zhi Guang made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Laércio Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Laércio Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Liu Zhi Guang went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Liu Zhi Guang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Torres came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giorgi Mamardashvili saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Laércio Torres in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Giorgi Mamardashvili made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 72nd minute. After having played for 78 minutes, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Patricio Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Akira アキラ getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Liu Zhi Guang hit a great ball. When Liu Zhi Guang got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Akira アキラ. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giorgi Mamardashvili having to interfere. Patricio Costa was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Akira アキラ had won after a very even match.
