In the 17th minute, Kaviedes Arrese ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Diablos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 34 minutes of play, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Vítor de Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! 37 minutes into the match, Diablos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but João Vítor de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diablos FC's João Vítor de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 42nd minute of play. Joel Gaona scored 1-4 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Vítor de Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but João Vítor de Amorim made a huge save. João Vítor de Amorim came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Facundo Cadaval. But to his dismay, Facundo Cadaval quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Diablos FC's João Vítor de Amorim got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 84th minute of play forced Diablos FC's goalkeeper João Vítor de Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Diablos FC's goalkeeper João Vítor de Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Facundo Cadaval. The Mexico players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
